But we're electing the leader of the free world here, in a time that requires enourmous responsibilty. I don't think that faith in Christ voids us of our participation in this responsibilty, any more than faith in Christ voids us of spending our money responsibly (to avoid financial troubles), or eating well and taking care of our selves (to avoid health troubles).

I'm a small Government kind of guy. I don't believe the answers are (or should be) within our elected officials. I agree with the feeling that we should be in the world, not of the world. I just happen to think that being in the world means our participation in these types of matters is important in determining where this world goes while we're here, and what we potentially will leave to our children and grandchildren.

I will likely touch on this and more in a very lengthy piece I intend to write after the inevitable happens tomorrow night. I think you'll find that we're not really at odds with each other on this one, more perhaps in the little details and personal interests.

More importantly, your boy Rick won't send me the new Cure. How stingy is that dude?Mike Holthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10382295133680646080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5769329269713870527.post-54443155500086944792008-11-02T13:01:00.000-05:002008-11-02T13:01:00.000-05:00Based on this article...If you think that the answ...Based on this article...

If you think that the answer to this country's problems is found in any of the candidates, than, it is your privilege and you should.

However, i think anyone who thinks that the answer is found in these candidates, has a deeper issue that lacks shining light on important issues, and in short i guess i have to ask you, how is your faith in Christ?

As i grow in Christ, and let the Lord guide my spirit, things start to change in me and things like this issue, and i would never be able to get behind politicians, especially in 08!

Seriously, get on your knees, and pray about this one. Where is God leading you? Where is your faith taking your vote? Yes, this is a valid point, if you are a Christian and you base your life on the word of God.Stephen Mark Sarrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05363708035099073716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5769329269713870527.post-35387142808055052792008-10-30T18:55:00.000-04:002008-10-30T18:55:00.000-04:00Hmmm....not sure what to think about this. I think voting, and who are next president is, is a lot more important than what this article suggests.Mike Holthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10382295133680646080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5769329269713870527.post-10909676316859198542008-10-29T14:01:00.000-04:002008-10-29T14:01:00.000-04:00I love me some Piper. He's right and you're right, ...I love me some Piper.

He's right and you're right, there's really no point in going ape-shit about politics ... unless, of course, it is your god (grin).

Great post.Justin Carrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03644058764061978190noreply@blogger.com
